Cloned Animals - "As Safe to Eat"

Cloned Animals - As Safe To Eat?The Food and Drug Administration issued a report today saying that milk and meat from cloned animals are as safe to eat as those that are bred the old fashioned way. This comes after a seven year review and although the FDA has said that these cloned versions as well as their offspring are safe to enter the U.S. food industry, producers have not yet made any plans to sell any of these products soon.

I think that with a nation that is going towards a more organic lifestyle which you may have noticed from the "organic" labels from your produce to health care products that boast to use natural ingredients, this does not really fit into the picture or in our diets.

What do you think? Would you consume meat or products from cloned animals or their offspring?

It'd be a hell of a solution to ending world hunger, I can tell you that much.

I think more research needs to be done to determine the long term health risks of consuming cloned meat. Although it is a solution to end world hunger, it's the same issue as genetically modified produce.

Not knowing the dangers can pose serious health hazards in the far future -- or maybe not. Personally, I would not consume it.

I thought cloned animals didnt live very long?

All the food you eat has been genetically manipulated in some way by man, through breeding or other means.  Even if it says its "organic"
