EV Oh No!

It’s no small secret that I enjoy eating and cooking.  I also derive an enormous amount of pleasure wandering the aisles of the supermarket searching for new products and cool items.  It was on such an occasion when my perfect little bubble of supermarket bliss crumbled down around me. Chknbone360 was scoping out the olive oil section while I rummaged through some potatoes, when I heard “Oh my god! Did you see this?”  I turned around immediately and was greeted with none other than Rachael Ray on an olive oil bottle obnoxiously titled “EVOO.”  I managed to compose myself long enough to snap a picture of the bottle to share with all of you.  Click the picture for a big version (if you're brave).

Upon further investigation I have also discovered that her catchphrase, "evoo" - "extra virgin olive oil" - is being included in the next edition of the Oxford American Dictionary, with Ray credited as helping to popularize the word.  So yeah, now you can enjoy your cup of Rachael Ray endorsed Dunkin’ Donuts coffee as you watch one of her many shows on TV, while checking our her entry in the dictionary before you cook yourself breakfast using her olive oil.

I give up.

I cannot stand that woman.  Its bad enough I have to see her face on strategically placed cookbooks in the produce section, magazine covers in the checkout aisle, but really, do I have to see her on actual products like this too?

Evil-O

Regarding "evoo", spell "olive" backwards and you get Evil-O... Smile

Did anyone watch the running gag on MadTV last weekend making fun of her show?

I used to like Rachel Ray, but her recent corporate whoring has really been irking me lately.
