Forum Search Tips Close

Basics

  1. Search syntax is similar to Google searches.
  2. Words shorter than 4 characters are ignored.
  3. Searches are NOT case-sensitive.
  4. Automatic 'and' queries: The search will only return pages that include all of your search terms.
  5. Only the body of the post is searched by default. Use the Advanced search to also search by subject.
  6. Word variation/stemming is currently not supported. For example, if you search for acting or acted, the search will not return results for act.

Phrase Searches

Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search terms. E.g. "cool video games"

Negative Terms

If your search term has more than one meaning (bass, for example, could refer to fishing or music) you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid. For example, here's how you'd find pages about bass-heavy lakes, but not bass-heavy music: bass -music

via Andrew Sullivan, the cheeseburger in a can.

I got you beat. Presenting, pancakes in a can:

That's right. Spray pancakes out of a can.

Can life get any better? I submit that it cannot.

There was a vending machine that dispensed hamburgers and french fries at a college I attended a few years ago.  I always walked by it, but I never saw anyone get anything from it.  For years I was interested in what it tasted like but the fact that NO one ever used it put the fear in me of being the first one to try.  It was stuck in the corner of an office with little traffic far from other vending machines like some kind of old war relic that some forgot about.  To this day i still wondered if the stuff that came out would be edible.

I love that the spray pancake batter is organic.  Because that makes me feel so much better.

...well, I guess it does a little, actually.

Anyone remember the hot fudge sundae that you microwaved?  Think it was late 80's.  Did anyone ever taste one?  Was curious, same thing about crystal clear pepsi, all the weird things that I wanted to try but never got a chance to.

Crystal Clear Pepsi tasted exactly the same as regular Pepsi.

There was no point. It was a giant marketing scam.

There are still things like those, except not ice-cream...microwaveable cakes, bananas foster, etc.  All you do is ADD WATER, microwave, and it turns into...something resembling food, caked in sugar.

I also saw apple-pie-a-la-mode in a pudding cup at the supermarket the other day...yum?

I don't trust microwaving food to cook them.  Re-heating is alright, but there's something about cooking/baking food with a microwave thats unsettling to me.

Adding water to brown and nuking it for a couple minutes will never be a brownie in my eyes.
