how did you get the cookie dough to stay...dough in the oven?

I actually put batter in the muffin paper, then a small round blog of cookie dough and then a spoon of batter on top. It fell to the bottom on its own. I think next time I would do a bigger blog of cookie dough, that was about the size of a nickle, next time maybe a quarter size because it was yummr! and I dont think I would worry about batter on top because its going to sink anyway.
