About Me

I went to a community college for 3 years and got my associates degree in social science. I wanted to be a psychiatric nurse. However, my plans have since changed drastically. I started cupcaking in April of 2007. When I was younger, my mom used to bake birthday and wedding cakes as a hobby. Her knowledge of cake decorating (along with an abundance of leftover supplies) has helped me a lot so far. However, she was more interested in decorating while I spend most of my time trying to find the perfect recipes. I work in a bakery now. But my current goal for the future is to start a bakery with my cousins.

I run a blog called How To Eat A Cupcake (http://howtoeatacupcake.net). Every Tuesday night I make cupcakes for my family for what we call "Wing Night." Friends come over to eat chicken wings, watch American Idol, and have cupcakes for dessert. After the first few weeks, my brain was exhausted from trying to choose a new flavor all the time. That's where my readers come in! There is a weekly poll on the left-hand side of my blog where the readers have the power to choose which cupcake I make next!
