About Me
About Me
Hola Foodies. I'm trying to live fresh in a land of fried. I'm celiac (gluten free), so I need all the recipes and delicious ideas that I can get!
Interests
Wine and Cheese inspire me the most, especially if it's a great red wine and either goat cheese or brie with chives. Yum. I also love buying fruit or vegetables I haven't tried before and looking them up online for a recipe.
What I'm Listening to
World Music is my current favorite, Pink Martini, Buena Vista Social Club, Buddha Bar, Nirvana Lounge and Olodum
Favorite Foods
Cheese, wine, basil, chives, tomatoes, garlic, cheese, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, corn on the cob, potatoes, cheese, pizza, green beans, asparagus, cheese, edamame, california rolls, cheese and, of course, Junior Mints.
What I'm Watching
Food Network, along with those random PBS cooking shows; Hells Kitchen is back on, so that's on my list. I also enjoy the Iron Chef America cook-offs.
Tastiest Libations
Wine, Ciders, Mojitos, Caipirhinas, Rum and Vodka Tonics
Favorite Restaurants
In Savannah: Local 11 Ten, Sweet Leaf, Saigon Flavors, Moon River's Simple Man's Platter, Isaac's on Drayton, Six Pence Pub and The Breakfast Club
Favorite Website Online
For recipes I like Food & Wine magazine, Wegmans and Epicurious. For non-food related sites, I am hopelessly addicted to celebrity gossip.
Most coveted item
Le Crueset Pots, Pho Bowls, Mixing Bowls, and an Asparagus Steamer

I'm a huge fan of wine and cheese as well. Living in Savannah must be awesome. I've visited there a few times but never for long enough. Glad you've joined Yummr!
Hi Mappy B!
Thanks for the invite. This is a neat community. A little secret: I'm not much of a cook. But maybe this site could help me change that! :)
